Laser Resurfacing

“Laser resurfacing is performed in our office with the Silktouch, Feathertouch CO2 Sharplan Laser using local anesthesia,” explains Dr. Roper. “When I do the entire face, eyelids and upper neck, the entire procedure is over and done with in two hours, with minimal discomfort.”

FACE AND UPPER NECK TREATMENT, INCLUDING THE ‘ROPER LIP’

“I utilize this laser most often to create the ‘Roper Lip’, which is a unique technique to tighten and firm the tissue on the upper lip in those individuals who used to be smokers and have smoker’s lines, or those individuals who have lines similar to smokers, and may have never smoked,” explains Dr. Roper. There is a minimal downtime of 7-10 days with this procedure before sunscreen can be worn, depending on the depth of the wrinkles. “This technique can be combined with Pelleve, Thermage, or Laser Toning, which do not any required  downtime or time off work, to enhance the results of those procedures. Or we can combine the ‘Roper Lip’ at the same time as the Active FX™ procedure, to enhance the wrinkle removal on the upper lip in those very deep upper lip wrinkles. Occasionally, I will even combine  Botox® and dermal filler, like Juvéderm®, to the upper lip to enhance the effects of the laser, if it is required,” explains Dr. Roper.
