Drs. Roper, Moreland and Bickle perform laser hair reduction in their office, using the latest state of the art laser systems for that purpose, the Candela GentleLase Alexandrite and the Candela GentleYag 1064 laser hair reduction systems. Most hair reduction systems do not have FDA clearance for permanent hair reduction, yet these systems do! Again, this procedure is technique dependent, and all procedures are performed by Dr.'s Roper and Moreland, not by their assistants or technicians.
The person behind the laser is just as important as the laser itself. 2-5 treatments per area at 2 month intervals are recommended, depending on the amount and location of the hair to be removed. Tanning needs to be avoided in the treated areas before, during, between, and after treatments. Electrolysis and waxing need to avoided 6 weeks prior to treatment. The patented DCD cooling spray attached to the Candela hair removal lasers makes it the least painful and safest laser system on the market.

Jeannie Traster's eyes sparkle a little brighter these days.
"I was ready for something to make me feel good about myself, and help me feel refreshed," says the attractive 50+ year old Floridian. "The effects of time, stress and years of sun exposure made me look older than I was. Now people can't believe that I'm as old as I am."
"Laser resurfacing is performed in our office with the Silktouch, Feathertouch CO2 Sharplan Laser using local anesthesia, or in the outpatient surgery setting at the Morton Plant/Mease outpatient surgery center with intravenous or general anesthesia. Most of our patients prefer the local anesthesia in our office, which is not unlike a dental procedure," explains Dr. Roper. "And the entire procedure is over and done with in two hours, with minimal discomfort."
"There is only a 5-day bandage system and a 2 week healing period before sunscreen can be worn. Results are terrific and long-lasting, especially for those with the deepest wrinkles from overexposure to the sun. There is tightening of underlying layers of the skin, similar to that seen in the Thermage procedure, as well as removal of sun damage, which greatly reduces the incidence of skin cancer in all those who have had this procedure," states Dr. Roper.

Laser Toning is a very efficacious no downtime procedure using non-ablative lasertechnology for shrinking pores, removing wrinkles, brown spots, veins, and scars from the face, giving the patient the opportunity to go right back to work afterwards. Using 2-3 lasers at the same time, such as Candela Smoothbeam, GentleLase, Candela V-Beam, Candela GentleYag and Nuvolase (not intense pulsed light, which is much less powerful), Drs. Roper and Moreland are able to smooth the complexion and significantly decrease wrinkles and scars from the face, neck, chest, etc. And only our physicians perform these laser treatments, not nurses , PA's or medical assistants. We recommend a series of 4-6 treatments over a 4-12 month period of time, spaced at a minimum of 3-4 week intervals between treatments, enhanced by our advanced facial treatments using M.D. Forte glycolic peels, Beta peels, and the Vitalize peels by Skin Medica. We also can provide scientifically proven topical rejuvenation products for home use. And no downtime! Our patients are our best advertisement!

Drs. Roper, Moreland and Bickle have over 40 years of combined experience using sclerotherapy for treating superficial leg veins, and use the safe and effective saline injections for this procedure. Treatments are enhanced by wearing prescription support stockings for 1-3 weeks following the procedure, and 1-4 treatments per leg are recommended for best results, depending on the size, length, diameter, and number of veins that you have. Treatments can also be enhanced by using the GentleYag 1064 laser for hard to treat veins and deeper blue veins. The GentleYag 1064 laser can also be used to treat blue veins on the face, hands, arms, legs, etc. Arrange for a consultation with one of the doctors, and you will be given the recommended treatment schedule for the number of veins that you have.
